80 TTA MSD Forensics
Hi Guys, I am not new to the TA world, but I did pickup an 80 TTA Pacecar and it raccelerates like a dog. I rebuilt the carb and now Im sorting out the ignition. It has a MSD6BTM box with the MSD billet distributor. I pulled the cap and this thing has the mechanical advance locked out! No weights or springs, its locked. I looked at the info in the MSD and there is no mention of a vacume controlled advance on it, so this must be a mistake? Is there a good reason at all someone would do this??
