Default What is this etched into my quarter glass?

Hello,

My 70 Judge was hacked and stripped when I bought it 30 years ago, and one of the weird items was a sandblasted etching done to the driver's side quarter window.

As I am now installing new glass, I dug through the shed looking for window parts and came across this window again. I cleaned it up to take some pics.

Anyone know what this is from or what it means? Maybe from a rock album of the time?

That's pretty cool. Put it on EBAY, you never know...

Thanks!

I recall that was a short fad in getting glass etched using a sand blaster. I believe it was covered in one of the car magazines on how to do it. The art world used to also do this, and may still do it in some circles.

That is a nice piece of art. I'd hang on to it and display it if I was you. Then again you might get some good money for it.

And tell those polar bears to leave your 70 alone, and quit trying to steal stuff off it. Just because they're way up there in the North Country doesn't mean they can do whatever they want. LOL

Never know who owned it I’d look into the history .
I k ow of a car (pontiac) that was owned by a well known rock star getting a LS engine right now .should be restored and taken care of IMO but the owner can do what they want.

Halfway, can you share the link to where you found that original image? I was searching Roger Dean and YES but didn't see it come up.

Thanks

I'll have to dig it out, but I have a t top with Elmer Fudd hunting Bugs Bunny etched into it. Kinda silly but like Gary said I think it will become wall art at some point.

The picture was on a cover of Gravy Train (English group) - Staircase to the Day. It was also a poster back in the day.

There ya go, from the shadow who knows.

Print out the image and put it behind the glass and use it as a wall hanger. Maybe scale the image to match the etching? Just a thought.
