Default WTB Distributor 1103315 78/79

Looking for a distributor for my 1979 W72 project. Part number is 1103315 likely dated for 1978.

Thanks,
Jim

I may have one if you're not in a hurry. I used to have a 79 WS6 4-spd T/A back in the late 80s. I had an issue with it bucking when you first gave it gas or let off, and I suspected t it was my distributor. I swapped in another HEI, and it solved the problem. I remember having a friend look at the distributor I removed, and one of the wires to the coils was frayed and about broken. I don't remember if I gave the distributor to the buyer when I sold the car. It's stored a couple of hours away.

PonchoMike-

I am in no hurry, trying to collect the right parts to put my car back together correct. I had no idea when I purchased this project how many items were very specific for the W72 and for the fact it is a non A/C car as well.

I really appreciate your time and efforts!

Thank you,
Jim

Nov '78 built W72 400 T/A here.
Original born with Pwh 400 engine, born with "3315" dated in March '78.

OPH-

Thank you very much for the clarification! It has been a learning experience to say the least on my parts search. Some items have been obviously "left over" parts from the 1978 production year while others have been current with the 1979 production year.

The distributor is the last main item I am missing. The search goes on...

So did all 1979 W72s get the same distributor? Or was the non-a/c different. My car was a/c.

No difference, AC or non AC from what I've pulled.

I was actually referencing the alternator and fan on the W72 cars being different if it wasn't an A/C or other power optioned car.

I am still looking for a distributor! Can't believe that no one has one sitting around. Anyone have any leads for me?

GM part number is 1103315, likely is dated for 1978.

Thanks!
