How many of you, as a kid, had a HO Scale Aurora A/FX version of this road race Camaro too?
Here's a Hemmings story link http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/...feature10.html And a pic of same car into the wall as team car passes on track ![]() Note the lack of front & rear spoilers below Last edited by Alvin; 01-16-2016 at 11:23 AM. |

Info on this one was written about the image below:
"This was the car that made Hot Rodders take Volkswagen serious. A '56' Bettle raced by Dan Gurney in 1963 and later by Dean Lowry. It won NHRA National Championship in Street Eliminator and was on the cover of the Oct '66' Rod & Custom. It finished ahead of such famous cars as Mickey Thompson's Challenger 1, Mooneyham & Sharp 34 Ford #554 and Stone-Woods-Cooks & John Mazmanian's Willys drag cars. Hot Rod Magazine issue in January 2008 named the "Top 100 Most Influential Hot Rods of All Time" and the famous EMPI Inch Pincher came in at # 53! Anyways, I thought it was a cool car hauler too." |
