Not positive if I am going, but, through experience, have learned to reserve early. A few days back, found a great deal for 3 nights in Sandusky so, the deals and availability is out there.
I shopped on expedia for reference.
best to book now, you can always cancel insteal of scrambling closer to evenr time as many do.

Just made my reservation and used points my points.
The closer it gets to the date it WILL be harder to find a room and it will have to be money no points.

I went this year and booked my room at the Sleep Inn the last fall, about 9 months in advance.

Not sure why, but I checked pricing again last January (about 6 months before the show), and total pricing for the 3 nights was actually actually $100+ less than my first reservation. WTF????

So I made a second reservation and when I got the confirmation and was sure I had the right dates, I cancelled the first, more expensive reservation.

Not sure what the deal was, but glad I checked. Booking early is usually cheaper but not that time.

Golf carts available now. Rumors 'only golf carts' for transportation. I cant confirm though. Also $25.00 fee for golf carts. I heard because of incident at another event, not ours, for insurance costs.

Yes. A letter was included in my pre-registered packet.

Looks like the little GTO won't be driving around anymore.

Having had cars in the show I’m glad to hear they have clamped down on all of the motorized traffic. Pedestrians should have the right of way

Should be interesting how their going to enforce this

They will need a lot of staff to stop everybody from using scooters

Bring mine anyways as it’s why I bought it for Norwalk years ago

Got my golf cart reserved already , share it with another racer but will bring my bicycle also this year

Also 25 dollars for a golf pit cart pass

Looks like a good policy. I have never been to this event but the scooters and such have gotten out of hand at Hershey. Its one thing to be handicapped and needing assistance but shear laziness is another. I have 2 bad knees and cant barely take a flight of stairs but I still manage. And no, being fat is not a handicap.
