Default HEI in a 71 GTO wiring question

I have the HEI in the motor and now working on the wiring for it. I have read several posts about the pink and yellow wires at the ignition switch. Today I crawled under the dash and got to the ignition switch. On my 71 there is no yellow wire at the switch, pink yes, yellow no. What do I do now guys? Is there an alternative to this method? I have run a 12 gauge wire into the passenger compartment from the HEI, just need to tie it in correctly.

I think 1970 was the last year for the yellow wire at the switch

Thanks everyone!!!!

If your car has an IGN terminal at the fusebox, plug it in to that.

OK , will have to look for that. I gather there is no ING1 and ING2 at the switch? I guess I am making sure there is 12 volts at cranking and at the on position of the switch at all times.

Sorry Guys I am not a good electrician.
