I'd like to make it work in the original heaterbox holes for folks that have an original case w/oem holes that need a replacement and won't have to re-drill etc.
gpguy, You have pics emailed to you of the nipple with micrometer measurements. I hope they are what you need.

Good news, thanks to SD455DJ I've got some nice measurements to tweak the fitting and will have finished parts in a couple weeks or so.
Several folks wanting some now but if anyone else does PM me soon with requests.

Default Hood Tach Vent Fittings Are Here

The hood tach vent fitting parts are here. Thanks to all who helped. Here’s the scoop on this big experiment. In the 3D printing the parts were made with an even better material than the prototypes and now have a much better heat resistance. (claimed upwards of 350 F) The material is now Duraform HST, a fiber reinforced engineering grade Nylon.
Included are a stainless steel rivet and a closed cell neoprene seal that surrounds both holes. Install specs for hole spacing and size will be included/posted. I ordered 15 pieces and 13 are now available. They are $25.each plus shipping.(should be inexpensive) What kind of payment method is easiest? USPS money order, Venmo ? Those interested can contact me with your info. or suggestions or post here. PM, email dean@pixelridge.com, text 802 522-6201.

Default build dates of hood tach vent cars

all

while walking around at the GTOAA meet here in WI I looked at just about every 70/71 car that was in attendance. I was looking for cars with this hood tach hose. I saw ONE...Uncle Judge had a 71 car there with an original set up. that was it. very few 70 cars there that were built after January of 70.

My 1970 car was built 06A and still has the original nipple on the heater box with an NOS filter. the very tip of the nipple is broken but can still be used. however I have reached out to Dean to see if he still has any repops left so I can have a replacement if needed.

It appears that the original nipples had a yellowish tint to them. Likelyyellowed after several thousand heat cycles.

Here is my question for the group...did the hood tach use thin wall 7/32" line or the standard thick vacuum hose? any colored stripes or ribs on that hose?

Original on the right and the new one gpguy made on the left.

Default Tach Vent Fitting

That looks like the previously available repro not by me in the comparison pic.
Mine is more closely sized and does not have the ribs on nipple so pronounced and my seal is a one piece.

gpguy, Yes, you are right, that is the reproduction made by Randy Watson (RC Tach). Sorry about the confusion.
