Well after a being a bit sidetracked the last couple months, I finally got my new wheels and tires mounted up and installed on the 71. I decided to go with a chromed set of Rally II's from Wheel Vintiques. Needless to say, I'm absolutely THRILLED with the look! The car is exactly what I envisioned, and I couldn't be happier. Just had to share some pic's with you all.

Here are the spec's of what I went with:

15x8" all around. 4.5" back spacing up front, and 4" back spacing in the rear.
Front tires: 235 60 R15
Rear tires: 295 50 R15

Keep in mind that the 12 bolt I installed last summer is 1" narrower than factory, so that allowed me to run the 1/2" deeper back-spacing on the rear wheels. I've always liked a 'deep dish' look, and I got just what I was aiming for here.

Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do! The first shot is the the old tire/wheel combo.

It's funny how sometimes I think I know something will look good, and then it turns out even better than I imagined. This is that for me. Win!!

Todd, That does look good! I'm envious of the beautiful weather you AZ folks have in winter...18" of now in the last week and temps below 0

Enjoy driving the '71! Dennis

Thanks Gents! I appreciate the compliments. The 71 keeps getting closer to my vision with every upgrade/improvement.

Dennis, yes we are enjoying our usual wonderful winter weather here. I know what you're dealing with as I have a brother in MN & one in MO. They're suffering as you are. You should come on down and visit your family soon. Let me know when you get here and we'll go cruising in a Pontiac! But I must warn you... you might just find you have to make the move too, like I did 17 years ago...

Todd, I'll definitely look you up when we go back to visit AZ in the future. My brother lives in north Phoenix and may be somewhat close to you. AZ weather has a lot going for it, especially now (LOL!) and we keep threatening to move somewhere warmer.

Dennis
