Based on information I got a number of years ago from Tom S it made a little over 1000 HP @ 9500 RPM.

Didn't Krull make 914 with E heads on pump gas ? Did he bump up the CR later ?
The 3 Gabby E heads. We know KK made it. Jack almost made it with N2O and 13.5-1. No reason to think he would have not gotten it NA with cam and CR. What was Siks doing with his (leaky) set ? NA ? How much HP ?
What about Bailey/ GTO Kid. He made big power right with E heads. Brandywine or Slowclaw ? (not sure about the spelling)
Seems to me there are more 1000HP E heads than HPs.

I am no expert, I'm a just a lowly knuckledraggin, bracket racing, ehead owner struggling to make 850 hp reliably. If i was trying to make 1K i think would be buying a different set of heads. A build similar to Tom Kilroy's would be an excellent starting point for a 1 k hp Pontiac powered bracket car
What cc are your eheads and what do they flow? How much lift are you running? What RPM range are you making your 850hp at? I have always liked your set up... 850NA is no small feat!

The key words that you mentioned is "850HP RELIABLY"... That's a tough requirement to achieve the higher up in HP you rise. However, (off topic) 5lbs of boost should get you there... LOL

SPEED SAFE, NICK

Bailey I believe is in the mix. That makes 5.
Krull is Not close Enough to consider especially after putting it In Calvin’s car, In my opinion
To be clear we are only asking about eheads. Visner Na cygan must be in the 1 k
Also I concede not everyone comes to py and brags there combo up. I’d like to
Hope there are more than appearing this list for every manufacturers head

Someone has made over 1000hp na with e heads, both rpm and pp, cv-1 s, Lynn's ra5, wenzler 2 and sc, hps, tiger 1 and 2, warp 6, and I'm not sure about dci ra5. Seems like any head available other than factory iron can make 1000na. It's more about how far past 1000 you want to go.

Doesn't matter about the pushrod, just naming the casting as people know it.

Pushrod in the port center is the very signature of RA5.
There is minor shifting and major shifting. I'm waiting for a NA RA5 to hit 2.7 HP/cube as the clown assured they could. LMAO.
