i have 2 pdude/spotts type. they are simple and have held up well to many uses and rebuilds. I did have a nunzi that i believe was made by steffs, that was very nice

For a performance application, where no PCV valve is needed I like the AP cast valley pan.

The All Pontiac cast pan is the most rigid.

I used the nitemare performance on my street car and it fit great.

The butler pan that I bought for my tall deck block was a waste of $80. Contour was wrong and once i fixed that and went to tighten it down one side falls underneath the head before it is seated against the block. Was told that the bolt holes in the block must be off to one side Lol

Nitemare Performance on my IAII. Fit really nice. Much nicer than the regular sheetmetal type.

The Nightmare unit looks the best. But they all do the same thing.
I had one of those old finned cast pans, Moon I believe. Sent it back to Dan Whitmore. It was there so long I forgot to ask for it when I got my engine back from his widow.
Wade at BOP bought it when she sold his stuff, he lives close by.
Wade has it on a static engine display. Very cool, my old valley pan, cast finned valve covers, RAV heads and a mechanical injection intake. All very rare.
He sent me a pic of it, I will see if I can dig it up.

I have a Moon finned pan on my 535. I had to modify the water cross over to fit.

Thank you for posting that. That looks like a very nice piece. I’ve been looking for one of those for quite a while. Good to know nitemare makes them. The reinforcement looks cool and the pan itself looks like you wouldn’t have to modify the water crossover if the heads/intake were decked.

It’s the nicest valley pan I have ever used. It fit perfectly and we modified nothing for the VP.

You know how much those things are worth these days ? I seen 500$ kicked around.
Not sure if I would have cut on it. Mine hit the bottom of my intake so I sent it to Dan to get his opinion.
Nice looking engine at any rate.

Anyone have suggestions for adding a PCV to the Indian Adventures pan correctly?
