Felix Baumgartner's Record Jump
I just realised how high up he was by the fact that there was so little air that nothing was flapping on his suit as he was free falling.
Awesome video. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/...edium=facebook |

I made my first solo sky dive jump over 35 years ago but significanlty lower (3,200'). I'd jump at the opportunity to go much higher in a heartbeat. That was an impressive video, thank you for sharing MYGOAT.

Thanks for posting this.
I had yet to see any of this video. There were a few anxious moments there when he started to spin. I vaguely recall hearing about that on the news back when he accomplished the feat. Interesting how the sound of air rushing commences at about the same time he starts spinning. No coincidence. I had always admired Joe Kittinger for his great achievement. I'm glad he could participate in the new record jump. |

Talk about the ultimate HALO (high altitude low opening) jump. Fantastic resolution on the cameras.

Also about the time his airspeed begins to drop precipitously.
