Default Ken Block dies

Apparently while going up a hill on his sled and the thing flipped or he attempted to jump not confirmed.

Thoughts to his wife and 3 kids, RIP Ken.

A bunch of my buddies texted me about him but I didn’t know who it was til I saw the pictures myself . Sucks but we all know the wild stuff we do could have these consequences I .think about it before every pass down the track or every take off in my airplane .
But it’s worth it to feel alive, to our kind it’s the ONLY way.
God bless him and his family.

I dont own a plane but before covid i was flying for business about 150+ times a year , im not affraid of flying but like anything risky in life , the more you do the worse the odds get... like when I was racing motorcycles, you can be lucky but cant run 11/10 without life doing a spot check once in a while...

A giant in the industry. Even those who didnt know his name had almost certainly seen some of his driving in viral clips.

I didnt know this, but he was the co-founder of DC shoes. When he sold out of that he moved his assets into Hoonigan.

So dude becomes independently wealthy and then just starts doing wild car stuff full time. If that isnt the gear head American dream IDK what is. I cant tell you how many times I have fantasized about winning Powerball or something and starting a race team.

I enjoyed all his videos. Incredible driving. Adrenaline junkies are at high risk.

Sorry to learn of this, condolences to his family. Snowmobiles and motorcycles are some of the most fun vehicles to ride, but man are they tricky to stay alive on.
I have a friend who is a mortician, I visited him at the mortuary once for a tour, the line of helmets they accumulated in 6 months was sickening.

I watched all the Gymkhana episodes when I first got Amazon Prime video, has no idea who he was before that and was blown away by his skilled driving, in anything he got behind the wheel of.

Sad for his family and kids.

I was devastated when I heard the news. I'm a younger guy so I grew up with the X games, drifting, gymkhana and all that, and Ken Block was the biggest standout of that crowd, with Travis Pastrana being 2nd. I even had the good fortune to get a quick tour of his shop at the Utah Motorsports Complex when I was there for a 2 day Ford Racing School course. RIP.
