Does anyone know if car#9 was owned by Don Beckers when new? Don traded my 69 Judge convertble in on a 71 Green Judge convertible back in 71. I'm not sure on the color of green but Don lived in Kansas. I would like to talk with the owner of the car Don owned and maybe one day we could all meet together and get Don's picture with both Judge convertible's. He has to be the only one who ever owned both 69&71 Judge convertible's new.

Alright if the story about the 4sp Aztec is correct; that only leaves 4 cars not relatively known about.
The other Atec, the third White one, the Blue one, and the Black one. I bet that black one is a sweet color combo! Anybody know anything about those four? If you are hold out on information because you are trying to land it for yourself; not a problem, but give us a hint! I'm not doing this to land the barnyard deal, so give up the goods. |

Could there be more than 17 cars? Were cars sold new in Canada included in the 17? The reason I ask is that in the early 70's the sun of the owner of a big Pontiac dealer here in Montreal was campaigning a 71 judge hardtop (cardinal red 4spd black interior) with a 428 with Tunnel port heads and a supposedly original factory dual quad.
What relates to this thread was his tow car: a matching 71 Judge (I always assumed it was) convertible. It was an HO, Cardinal red, black, black, full load (windows, seat, locks cruise, 8track etc) with honeycombs. I guess it could be a clone but I saw photos of it back in 71 at the dealership with the racecar. Maybe they cloned it from an HO convertible because the Judge was discontinued midyear or....it's #18?

Lots of odd things happened with those Canadian cars, there isn't much telling about that. I am a firm believer anything is possible with Pontiac back then; and that's not even throwing Canada in the mix. Not real sure who came up with the magic number 17. Gary just told me today that he heard they were only going to make 15 total, then some strings were pulled to make 2 more. JM or Fred Simmons has circulated 14 VIN's years ago, with the story the other 3 VIN's are not known. Don't know for sure what to think about that one. Dan McKinnon told me today he thought the Black car was near destroyed in a fire, but that's just a lead at this point. |

The red/black 4-speed that is currently (or at least was as of a few years ago) in a huge musclecar collection in WA state (can't remember the guys name) came from Sweden. GC brought it back from there in the mid-90s and restored it.

Yup! That's it.
When I bought my bird from Gary in Dec 1996, he had just brought that car back from Sweden and had it in his shop all stripped down. I remember it having a very poor rendition of the Judge stripes, hand painted on by some Swedish bodyguy.

Even though the picture isn't very clear, I would guess those are vinyl stripes. The sender pointed out it had white call outs, not sure if white or black would be correct but I know it has black now. Also noticeable is the white seats with black backs and head rest; back seat appears black. The sender also made note of tow bar, I’m waiting his permission to post the accompanying email.

Actually, in the picture it looks like someone just threw a white cover of some kind over the seat. You can still see the black on the side of the front bucket and the edge of what looks like a white cover draping over the seat. My convertible has a black vinyl interior so I can understand why someone would do that.

Yes, you are correct. I should have taken more time to look at it.

I have found there are some very nice people and few not so nice people involved with these cars; the current owner of car 14 is one of the good guys. Ron was gracious enough to share his Pontiac Invoice; it is now linked on my page.

That is going to be a nice car when finished!
71 Canyon Copper/Sienna Judge vert, form wheel, 8 trac/stereo and honeys doesn't get any better for me. I'm sure Ron will do a great job on this car too, and it is great to be able to see the PHS as well.

I think Sienna is a very subjective interior color. To me, it really holds Rons car back. If it was Ivory interior, I would have considered a deal with him, if it was Tropical Lime with Ivory, against better judgement, the car would be sitting here in the shop right now. Ron is a gentleman and I know he will do the car right.
