Voltage Regulator Capacitor
Anyone know the purpose of the voltage regulator capacitor which plugs into a hot lead in the fuse block?
How do you check to see if it is still good? Last edited by RWS; 09-19-2007 at 08:33 PM. |

It's for static noise suppresion for the radio.
If you don't have any noise in your radio, it's working.

Same thing. This is from Wikipedia:
"Capacitors are occasionally referred to as condensers. This is considered an antiquated term in English, but most other languages use an equivalent, like the German word 'Kondensator'."
