Default Top mods/changes

If you've modified your ride or added to it in some way, what resulted in the biggest smile?

My top ones (to my 70 Formula 400 RA III), in no particular order, are as follows:

1. power steering, brakes, windows, and locks, in that order (that's four already);

2. 15" Rally wheels, along with radial tires (I like the look better than the 14" Rally's it came with, and I expect the bigger wheels provide a slight advantage handling wise);

3. Rally gauges and steering wheel;

4. moving the battery into the trunk (not just because of the relatively significant change in weight distribution - installing a hidden and harder to get at battery cut off switch makes for a great and cheap anti-theft device);

5. fiberglass front bumper (to save weight, improve the weight distribution, and never having to worry about cracking paint - at least not until someone hits it);

6. Tremec 5 speed (now I can drive it on the highway without gritting my teeth, and it has a lower first gear to boot);

7. sub frame connectors (huge improvement in overall feel and rigidity):

8. rear (stock) spoiler, and an aftermarket chin spoiler up front (I just like the way they look).

I've done some other things, including a few improvements to the engine, but the only one that I am less than impressed with is the addition of a Pertronix Ignitor. It is an older unit that requires a five second charge and messed up the tach (yes, I know there is a fix for the tach, but accuracy after that is a guess at best), but at least now I almost never have to adjust the timing.

I'd be interested to know what you've done, amd what's worked and what hasn't.

for my 70 Formula it was swapping out the original th400 to a 4 speed and stroking the original motor to 461 with a roller valve train that'll run on pump gas.........and keeping it all original in outside appearance..........

'70 T/A - I added 16x8 Torque Thrusts, rebuilt the frontend with poly bushings. Previous owner added a big cam when he rebuilt the motor.

'76 T/A - 16x8 Vintage 45's, lowered, poly bushings throughout the car, 3.08 disc brake rear, 160mph speedo.
