Where would be the best place to find out which GM rears would swap EASILY into my 66GTO? Original is almost gone, and I think I would be way ahead to find another with a street friendlier gear and good bearings etc. Thanx

65-7 chevelle, skylark, cutlass, are bolt ins. or you could call moser eng. in portland, in and have a new 12 bolt or 9" ford made up for it. this way you'd get the gears you want, and either disc or drum brakes.they'll build whatever you want for it. it all depends on how much cash you want to drop on it. mike

a couple of additional notes....If you get a 1967 or newer rear, you will have to change the spring perches since the spring design changed in 1967. Also a 1964-65 Rear will be 2"(?) shorter. Finally, The Buick, Olds and Pontiac A-body rear all the same while the Chevy has different internal components and a slightly different looking cover.
