If you find some NORS shoes with light colored linings, buy them.

You need 260 and 272.

As for the color of the linings, I once used dark lined shoes on my 65 2+2 and it stopped fine.

I have fixed a few cars that wouldn't stop by using a set NOS Delco shoes on the front. The 1st one that it happened top me was my 65 Bonneville in 1999.

My friend had a 60 Bonneville Safari that would not stop. I had it on the lift in Drive with someone stepping on the brake pedal as hard as they could and the rear wheels kept turning.

Any idea what a set of GM nos brake linings with rivets sell for? In each box is just 2 linings not the metal shoe part but has the brass rivets
Thanks

I have quite a few boxes of GM linings, I pulled the linings out and noticed a 1967 date, they have 4 lining per box not 2. The years they cover are 59-72, some Tempest 63-72 if anyone interested 20.00 per box
