Default POLYETHYLENE Valance Repair

Howdy,
I’ve been using a plastic welder to repair my 1972 Pontiac TA’s lower front Polyethylene valance. I’ve welded plastic rod into the cracks and gouges.
My question is what type of 2 part plastic filler should be used for Polyethylene plastic. I need to fill in some areas where I’ve used the plastic welding rod, also to fill some chips and shape contours. I’ve used polyethylene welding rod from Polyvance.
My concern is that polyethylene is not a mainstream plastic used in today’s auto industry.
Thanks,
Hart
