Audio help needed, please
I have a 2021 Ford Escape.
I finally figured out how to convert songs on CD to MP3 format, copied them to a USB thumb drive, and can play them through the Escape's audio system. Using Windows Media Player to convert the songs, and Windows to create the USB drive. The organization of the thumb drive is folders named for the artist, subfolders with the album name and sub-sub folders with the track number and song title. The problem: When a song begins, the display is "Track 1" or 2 or 3 or whatever. The system knows the artist name, the album name, and the song title; because depressing the what's playing will display this information. Tried removing the track numbers from the song titles. Then the system sorts the songs per album in alphabetically order, and then displays "Track 1", etc. Any suggestions on how to automatically get a display such as: Peter Paul and Mary 10 Years Together Track 1 Leaving on a Jet Plane Or am I being unreasonable in my expectations? Jon

Wouldn't a 2021 have Bluetoof audio so you can stream from yer phone?
It's been awhile but did you try editing the ID3 tags? https://sl.bing.net/e4KnPN3woi4

The Escape does have bluetooth, but my phone has telephone numbers (yeah, I know, I'm an old fogie), not music.
Thanks for the idea on ID3 tags; I will show it to my son, as I don't know what an ID3 tag is. Maybe Ford has a COBOL compiler for their software Jon

About 50 years ago, there was a really cute cartoon with an approximately 8 year-old kid standing in front of the TV. The caption: "Hey Grandpa, have you been messing with the VCR again???"
It may still be cute, but it has become personel! I contacted Ford Customer Service. They did some checking, and said the Escape's software needs an update, and that may fix the issue. Will get the Ford dealer to do the update for me. Thanks for your comments. Jon
