Default Radio Static Suppression

Just installed an under dash FM converter....which runs through the stock AM radio in my 61......

Plays well in the accessory position.....but lots of interference when engine is running...in FM mode

Engine is dead stock other and addition of an externally regulated alternator.

I obviously require some sort of static filter/suppression...

Have some 60's and 70's GM parts cars here.....that I could rob something from...

Any input is appreciated..

I have a GM manual on all the parts/ways used to fix. I think there’s one left, taking all the lit to Dayton this coming weekend
