Purchased a used posi 3:55 for my 68. I did not have it checked out, just installed and am wondering how you check for the posi function. When I burn out, my right wheel spins for a liy=ttle longer than the left wheel, does this mean that I have a worn out posi? Will an additive like GM's for posi's help? Any other simple on the car tests. At least I like the new gears.

No, that could be ok. That's why they called them "limited" slip. Good question though....racers, how do you tell when a posi is weak but not plain bad? I've seen weak posi units at the track where the wheel catches and then just plain stops rotating and then catches again. Besides having someone else notice, can you test on a lift or something?
