Axle bumper? 70 TA
Looking for a source or ideally an actual part. When my car was stripped it looks like the middle bumper for the pumpkin was lost or discarded. I ordered what I thought was the correct piece from one of the parts warehouses but it look like I need something that actually bolts to the floor pan and this one just pushes in. If anyone has one or a source please let me know, doesn't need to be beautiful or NOS

there's a nice used one in this set for later 2nd gens. The snubber that you need is the same as the early years but the outer snubber set in the auction are as stated for '75 and up.http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-1981-Ca...b3fb8d&vxp=mtr

I assume you're mean this one?
Not sure there is a difference in any of the 70-73 models But there is a difference in the end bumpers..

The side snubbers for 1970 did not bolt in, they just had a rubber piece snapped into the steel bracket ,1971 started using the ones shown here with the single stud to bolt in. The center piece, which is what I think he is asking about, is attached to a rectangle strip of steel with two 5/16" screw holes that mounts to the center above the rear ends center section.

I'm in need of a single 70 style side snubber -- just the rubber bumper part. I posted in the parts wanted section, but not everyone always goes there.

your picture of the side brackets, the set on top, may be correct for 72-73, but it is not the style 71's had. 71's looked just like the 70 metal part, only the rubber used a single stud/nut to attach vs 70 style with just rubber.. i guess the set you show came from a 73??
