Default MCACN Show this weekend 11-19-21 Chicago

If any PY folks are at the Muscle Car and Corvette National show this weekend in Chicago, please stop by to say hello. I am honored to be able to be in/at the 1970 Humbler VOE GTO display with its owner, Paul L, and with Jim Hall (VOE Muffler patent holder), Gary R. (from Level 1 Restoration), and others that are instrumental to this car's restoration.

Is this the actual car from the 70 commercial?

Yes, it's that car. There's a list of cars that will be featured at the show on their website: https://www.mcacn.com/unveilings

I can't wait to see it finished! I'm glad he brought it out in it's original state in 2019. It's going to be a great weekend and I can't wait to meet everyone! I have it easy this year with just customers taking there own cars, this time in 2019 I was working 16 hour days getting the 1969 Z28 Trans Am race car finished.

What an amazing show.
I got to meet many friends from this site and I made lots of new acquaintances.
I got to hear the GTO Humbler from the commercial with its new mufflers. Very nice.
I had an amazing time. This is truly one hell of a special show and it has so many high quality cars. I was stunned with fun and am still in awe of what I saw and got to hear.
Paul has posted sounds of the Humbler on his Facebook site. Paul GTO Humbler.
Thanks to all who stopped by to chat and play with our VOE demo.

A few images. The original inventor of the VOE muffler, Jim Hall, came from MI to be there for the intro of the car that featured his mufflers over 50 years ago.

Pretty neat that they got a manufacturer's license plate for the car.

What’s in the boxes around the Humbler car? Original parts?

Parts were original parts removed from Humbler which were unable to be used. This car was amazing, the only let down was the conventions center would not allow it to be started at the unveiling!

Gorgeous car. Only thing to make this cooler is if the original actor from the commercial could have been located and reunited with the car.

We got to hear the car Saturday night. The mufflers worked and sounded great. I am going to post the sound clip up on YouTube later on. It was awesome to hear it open after after 50 years!

Any more pictures that could be shared ?
Did they have any of the documentations displayed ? pictures of those ?

I don't remember for sure if it was stated the Buildsheet was found within the car.
That would be AWESOME to see !

But it seems like it was said by someone on here in the past that it was a 3 or 4 Invoice Car .
Also extremely cool to see those too .

Glad you got to participate with The Humbler , Tom.
Extra Cool Display to go along with the extra cool car.

Trying but it keeps rejecting ones accepted by other websites. I will try more later and thanks Baron for the comments.

I think it had four separate sheets but you can see them on Paul GTO Humbler Facebook page. I never took photos of the papers but they are out there on the web.

It was great to meet you and Jim Hall Saturday evening. That was neat to play around with the VOE display and watch it in action! Talking to the guys from Level one there were many interesting differences from this car and production 70 GTO's. Jim Hall said there are only 3 VOE mufflers believed to be in existince, and two were on the floor behind the car. i wonder if the person who took them off their car all those years ago are still looking for them!!!
