Default Accelerator Pedal

Okay I was driving along in my 70 and I stepped on the gas pedal and it felt like something snapped as most of the tension is gone and no more connection to the carb. After a visual inspection I see nothing wrong. Could have my cable broke inside?

Check the cable where it attaches to the pedal, there is plastic sleeve that goes into the firewall, and a plastic clip that connects to the cable. I would look at the pedal attachment. 5 minutes with a flashlight under the dash. If it is still connected, pull on the cable where it attaches to the pedal. If it ends up in your hand, then you know the problem.

I checked out everything with a visual inspection and all looks good and not broke. The pedal just does not "pull" anymore. How hard is it to replace the cable and run it through the firewall?

It is not hard at all, it is just a clip with a couple of 'ears' that get pushed in, then it passes toward the engine. The only fastener is the stud at the carb.
