Default AC install

I'm going to add vintage air to my 64 which is headed to the body shop now. Do you need the original blower motor and heater core or is now the time to do the block off plate while the front sheetmetal is off?

Arrow Vintage Air install...

Vintage Air is available as a/c only (retain your factory heater) or as a combo heat and a/c unit (remove factory heater and block off firewall opening).

I would have the firewall smoothed now and do the vintage air with the heater. I would mount the box under the dash (drill holes, weld brackets) and then pull it back out before painting firewall.
Thats the way I did my 65. It worked out great

I did the Vintage Air Sure Fit that came with everything you need to install. It replaced my old blower and heater which were in very bad shape. The only down side I noticed was you lose a lot of your glove box. They give you a new one that is half the size. It is now good for a pair of gloves and the vehicle registration. The kit comes with a block off plate for the old hole and the hoses go out through where the old blower is.
