Default 1968 Firebird Motor Mounts Don't Line Up

My passenger side motor mount doesn’t line up. Same subframe, engine, frame mounts, etc. that I removed. All stock. On the passenger side, the large single bolt hole in the mount sits too low for the bolt to go in the hole. The only thing that changed from stock is new motor mounts and an energy suspension tranny mount. It is almost as though the new mounts are thinner than stock. I am thinking of loosening the frame mount bolts but I gotta believe there won’t be much play if I do. I know others have experienced something similar – any suggestions are appreciated. It is not far off when I install a ¼” shim. Worst case I am considering grinding the frame mount hole a bit.

I had this problem with my race car and I made 1/4" plates out of Aluminum to make them line up perfectly.

I had a similar issue on a 68 bird. My holes did not line up and the front of the oilpan rested on the crossmember. I shimmed with washers as shown in the pic to try to fix it, which it did, then made 1/4" rectangular steel shims to replace the washers. worked well. Shimmed both sides 1/4".
