Default Stolen 670 heads

my 1967 670 heads were stolen date code J??6 do not remember my exact day but my intake is J126 they have been in my possession for 25 years I took them off my original engine that threw a rod. Now I am ready to start my restoration. They were stolen from my shop in the last 12 months in the north shore area of massachusetts maybe they were sold to someone I do not know. I would be glad to work with the person who may have ended up with them. Any information to there where abouts would be great
Thanks Joe B

If the engine is original, you may try contacting Pontiac Motors custom relations department. If they aren't arrogant, they could backtrack the number on those heads for a price.
Here in Germany, stolen parts are identified when the police backtrack components to determine if the vehicle identification numbers have been altered.
For example, any change in production is recorded. Let's say, if in the middle of 1976, the use of Bendix brake calipers has been discontinued in favor of ATE, such information is kept for the purpose of making available replacement caliper pistons for these owners. If Opel has this data, Pontiac should have it, also. Both divisions are GM

Huh?! What happened to the "edit" function. I got it wrong. Backtracking from components is a method used by police to determine the owner of a vehicle which is left abandoned in the environment after the previous owner attempted to disguise its identity by removing all 3 identification numbers

You probably have looked already but I would try craigslist in the surrounding area.

People are using it for parts as free alternative to ebay.

You never know, you may get lucky/ Hope so.

My neighbor has a green hose , but it has a stripe on it . Hes always been a bit shadey so I went over and double checked . My hose is black and it has a red ,blue and yellow stripe down each side . I'm going to go out and double check to make sure its still there .

Oh , I forgot to ask . Greg, whats the date code on your garden hose and was it matching numbers to your lawn furniture . Theres been a rash of garden hose theft in the Western Ny area . Must have something to do with the high gas prices and suction .Did you set a reward ?

i am beside myself.the rotten bastards got the sprayer too!!yes,it was numbers matching to the lawn furniture.they arent getting that though, just went out and chained the lawn furniture to the house.its really too late though, they already broke up the set.damn it,i even had the build sheets for all of it.oh well,at least i still have 2 sets of 670 heads.they didnt take them because of the price of gas,670s are not fuel friendly as we all know, but are a good set of heads.
