What glue to use for door panels?
I bought repop panels for my interior a few years ago, but the glue is coming undone from the cardboard in a few spots. Whats the best glue to use?

I've had excellent results with 3M "Super 77" multipurpose spray adhesive.
If you're having issues with the short edge-fold peeling away from the back side of the trim panel/hardboard, use (short) staples to keep the vinyl tight against the back of the board. That's the way we made them in the production facilities. |

....and follow the instructions on the can (ie spray BOTH surfaces, wait, possibly apply another coat, WAIT and then press together). The stuff works great but you need to wait and allow the stuff to tack up a bit before pressing them together.

Meh on the Super 77, it works ok until things heat up and it will come apart. Find a can of 3M Super 90 instead. WAY stronger. I used to use super 77 all the time on a sanding pad to make my own sanding discs for sanding drywall, because it would peel off fairly easily and I didnt have to keep buying the stickyback sandpaper discs. Sometimes it would get a decent grip but if I put the sandpaper close to a heater for a few seconds it would peel off without a problem. Super 77 sucks for permanent gluing especially for hot car interiors.

Actually I think that is different stuff as well. I should correct the name I gave though. It is actually called 3M High-Strength 90. Not sure which would work better between these two, and that trim adhesive one may be discontinued, says obsolete in that link?
