I doubt if anyone could sell that car without someone here finding out about it.

So sorry for your loss Jeff. I did not see your ride at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run over Thanksgiving weekend. I will ask the local club that runs the show if anyone saw it and will canvas our numerous central Florida shows for any info.

Thanks guys, it was a blow to the gut to hear of this news.
The Ol Tempest has been enjoying retirement down in Huston Texas since I put it all back together.
Sadly 25 (+-) days is a long time so it could be anywhere by now.

They were slick, cut the lock and put a replacement back on so no one noticed,
until my buddies daughter went to retrieve some other items.
It appears they spent sometime in the unit digging through all their items.
The car had to be pushed/towed out as he had it disabled.

Luckily they gambled on the wrong unit and missed the money,
as the Race car was right next door and is now relocated to a TRUE SECURED garage.

The Tempest was fully insured so that helps a bit.
Hagerty is ready to scratch a check and the authorities are working with my friend to hopefully get answers and possibly the car back.
I'll keep updating as things arise.

What is the storage facility's responsibility in a situation like this?

The place I was storing a car said that I had to have it registered and insured to store it there. It wasn't but the guy who ran the place was cool about it. Don't know about responsibility, you might be on your own.
How did they not know the race car was there? How about security cameras?
Nothing is safe in this world anymore.......sucks.

Congrats on getting your car back.

Any damage or can't you discuss that yet?
