Wow! That's a cool photo. Sadly, I don't think any photos exist of me jumping bikes - it was best done away from the watchful eyes of parents.

Nope, gave it to the neighbor kid down the street when I bought my 10 speed.

Ross Apollo 5 Speed accessorized with the paper route baskets, headlight for after dark driving and the odometer on the front wheel.

Same kid ended up with my paper routes too!

Great action pic. Did that one have a wheelie bar on it? I'm a little older too. In '76, I was 18 and wheeling around in one of these... Wouldn't pop wheelies worth a d@mn though...

Thumbs up "Ingenuity in Action"

Ok, not a photo, but an excellent video (in color) with vintage aerial and ground level photos.

This is a cool little video from what appears to be around 1970. Looks like someone mounted an old 8mm film camera on their hood and drove around Lansing, Michigan. Lansing was the home of Oldsmobile (there's a brief moment when you can see the 3 stacks of the Oldsmobile plant), and it's interesting to see how many Oldsmobiles are on the streets and passing by, but I see various Buicks and Pontiacs too.

Two things:

• Dyson vacuums that boast of their “proper amount of suction” have nothing on that image…

• How many 1,000s of times do you think Linda has heard this proposition over the years? “Miss Golden Shifter?” “I’d like to show you a golden shifter!...”

Keep it classy!

Now that music is going to be in my head all day....but in this case, that's a good thing. Very nice.

Default Old days video

Not a big fan of the Statler Brothers, but a neat video of bygone days and things!
