Default '63 326 HO air cleaner question....

I need some help determining the correct air cleaner for a '63 HO 326 LeMans. So far I've seen pics of 3 different designs, which all are supposedly correct and oem. Did they perhaps differ by build date or assembly plant? If anyone has a pic of a correct, original one would you mind posting it? Many thanks!

Default oem 4 barrel air cleaner?

I have one that is supposed to be a '63 326 HO air cleaner and will take a picture of it for you. It was on a car I bought so I can't verify if it is the real deal (supposed to be) or not but hopefully, the picture will help. Give me a couple of days to get it.

Default HO air cleaner

are these 4 barrel unit?

The reason I ask is that the car we are working on has a 2 barrel one there.

Default Yes, 4 barrel carb...

I THINK the 2 and 4 barrel cleaners are the same, except of course for a larger hole in the base. Just trying to confirm. Thanks.

Default pictures of air cleaners

The tops look alike. The only difference is the hole size in the bottom. Even use the same air cleaner element. The primered (waiting for paint)air cleaner is from a 2 barrel lemans. The black air cleaner is from a 4 barrel lemans. Disregard the "extra holes" in the 4 barrel base as they were drilled in by someone before me.

Default Well, my question is thoroughly answered....

The pics confirm the correct air cleaner. It turns out this was a somewhat generic GM design used in many early 60's GM products, notably Chevy 4 bbl applications right up to the 409. Apparently it is being repro'd now, and I've also seen a couple OEM restored ones on ebay. And the AC Delco decal is available too. I haven't seen the quality of the repo in person, just a pic. So, I'm all set for my project. Thanks c5farmer for the pics and follow up.
