I have some rust under the vinyl/leather on the top of my windshield frame. Has anyone repaired this before? Any tips?

Also, where can I buy replacement vinyl/leather and what are the specifications for it?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Hi Steve, I am looking for the same item for my 1970 GTO convertible and stumbled across this on eBay:

Conv Header Material

You can "Ask the Seller" to see if they have the exact color you need; they responded very quickly to my inquiry. The popular response from a thread I posted in this topic is that this material is the same as the vinyl interior of the seats. Here's the thread for your reference:

70 Convertible "Header"

Good luck!

PY and Ames will sell you a full yard (36" by 52" IIRC) of vinyl to match your interior for about the same price that ebay guy is charging for six inches!

I'm in the process of doing this now. Had some pitting underneath the vinyl. Removed it, sanded down the header, applied some body filer, sanded and paint. This weekend will install the vinyl.
