Default Winter boost upgrade project

I have alot on my to do this winter! I have got a nice pile of parts for the new motor gathered up so I figured I would share them with you guys. I got the the heads and cam from Mark at Luhn Performance, the rest of the stuff so far has come from members on here and YellowBullet. The pistons are Ross, rods are Eagle with L-19 bolts, Crane Gold race rockers, stick is a Bullet Racing. Shooting for around 750rwhp with a YSi and 15psi hope I can pull it off!

I actually don't have one right now that's why I haven't got the block prep done. The last few local machine shops haven't impressed me. I live 1hr north of Sacramento so I may end up checking out Riolo or Rex Hutchison. If you have anyone you would trust/recommend let me know.

Belt wrap is amazing almost 3/4 of the pulley and darn near the same on the bottom! I can't wait to pour the boost to it! Oh yeah and the brackets don't flex a bit!

I've got a block going over to Hutchison for align boring/steel caps in the next week or two. They've been around since I was a kid but I haven't had anything of mine done there before.

I've had great service from Del's in Sacramento since the 80's and they're doing my street/strip shortblock. Again, this place has been around since I was a kid.

Nothing beats having the money for your crankshaft and having your washing machine crap out! Oh well I guess I need to do a couple more side jobs.

Well if it's not one thing it's another. My girlfriend got a sponsor to pay entry fees this year so we could run the 10.60 index in her Nova and shortly there after the motor kicked a rod. I used some of the money I had set aside to build her a new short block so we would miss the first race on March 3 and possibly loose the sponsor. But I'm back on track now selling a 62 Nova wagon I picked up and buying an IA II block. I decided I want to go big this year and shoot for a low 9sec street car! Got the cage in the car and picked up the rear double adjustable shocks and that's about it for the car so far this year. Shooting to have the motor in the car and running by August. Butler says they are about 8-10 weeks out on the block so I hope that the wagon sells quick so I can get the block ordered. By the time it gets her I will have the last few parts for the motor so it will be machine work then assembly. I'll take a few pics of the car with the cage in it tonight pretty happy with how good it fits for a pre bent cage. So if you guys know anyone that wants a 62 Nova wagon hit me up LOL

Default Back on track!

Well finally got to do some much needed rust repair on the car. I know it's not motor related but it had to be done so while my girlfriends block and rotating assembly is at the machine shop I decided to get it done!
