Well got the TRZ a-arms, the wilwood brakes, and the double adjustable shocks all the way around. Made it to the track last night and ran a new personal best! 10.84@126.5! Still working on the 60' the new shocks are nice but I still need to fine tune them to get the 60' down a little more. Best last night was a 1.69 but I only got 3 passes. Here's the video of the 10.84 pass.

Nice Pass Mike, El Camino did not know what you had for him for sure.

You will be in the 9s I am sure once you get the 60 ft times worked out.

Thanks Tom! I can't wait to see what it runs with good 60'! I might have a little more in the timing too but I don't want to get greedy. I'm running 24 degrees total right now at 11psi with 1 gal of 110 race fuel for every 3 gal of pump gas. Plugs look good a little fat if anything. I want to stay as safe as possible on the tune but not so safe I leave power on the table that I could use safely if that makes sense.

Got my car on Vortechs website in the V-Rides section! Anyone can do it but still cool to see it on there.

Made it back to the track last night to see how the ant-roll bar worked. Well it did its job that's for sure! 1.60 60' 8.62@103 to the 1/8th and 10.67@126.7 in the 1/4. Still have some tuning left in the suspension can't wait to go back! Didn't get any real good video I upload what I did get later.

This is the best video of the night but worst pass. You can see the car leaves nice and level with the anti-roll bar. Car I raced happens to be my girlfriend and yes she put one on me!

You sure can hear that supercharger whistling.

Is there any way to fit that setup under the stock GTO hood?

I think it would fit just fine with no carb spacer and a low profile hat. The YSi is a badass blower in a small package I haven't even began to tap into the true potential of it. I'm heading to the track again in a couple weeks and should have my regular camera man and hopefully better shots and faster times! Now that the suspension is done minus tuning I will be buying only motor parts so my thread will be back on track lol.

You ought to be in the 9s with that thing very soon.

Are your brackets custom made, or is that a "kit" that you can purchase somewhere? Is there any belt slippage? Could you drive that blower on the highway?

Luhn Performance makes the brackets and belt slippage none at all at 10psi and I would bet at 20psi it would be the same. I drive the car to cruise nights and to work sometimes with no problems. I hope to do drag week in the next year or two when the new motor is done so street driving is a must. Mark Luhn is a great guy and the brackets are awesome Bad69bird can vouch for that.

JYD,

All of our 1000 Hp and under kits fit under the stock Pontiac hood line.

If you have a specific project we would be happy to discuss it with you.

Mike,

Great job with the suspension components and improving on your track times.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks,

Robert

Well I'm finally back at it. Can't believe how long it's been since I had an update! Got my IA2 block! Changing a few things cubic inch wise but other than that it's still the same build. Almost went EFI but decided to stay blow thru for now.

What wheels are those? In addition to the brand, do you mind sharing the sizes, offsets, tire size, and whether you had any problems with fit?

The wheels are Billet Specialties Street Lites. 15x8 with 4.5" B.S. on a 275/60 Hoosier drag radial. They fit tight and occasionally rubbed until I removed the out wheel well. Someone had beat the crap out of the outer wheel well with a hammer and did more harm than good. I think with the proper clearance method i.e. a rolling with a baseball bat lol they would be fine. Other option I considered was a 15x8 with 5.5" B.S. and a 1/2" spacer. Hope this helps.

It helps a lot, thanks. I am guessing you have a slightly narrowed rear end with that 4.5" backspacing.
