On a 65 Catalina (Not a 2+2), where do the 421 emblems go? I know that they go on the front of the fenders on the 2+2, but on the Catalina, it has a 'Catalina' emblem there. Do they go on the front fender behind the wheel, like the 64 and the GTO emblems?

Yep, they were available, you just had to check the right box on the order form. They may not have even had any emblems on them, I don't know. I wish someone had a pic of one.

I'd start picking up HPP and PE mag and check the cars in it.
A few months back there was a 2+2 article and you can see the badge placement. Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

I think there might have been one on the fan cover on the core support. I know the '66s had them on the stainless rocker panels right behind the wheel on the fender.
