I have a Late 74' Trans Am with a Stock 400. I would like to replace the stock cast manifolds with upgraded (RAIV D Port?) cast manifolds. Does anyone know if this can be done. I would like to install 2.5" pipe with "X" crossover into single flowmaster muffler mounted in original transverse location. Any thoughts on proposed system greatly appreciated.

Brian, yes you can use the short style "D" port RA III/HO manifolds (very similar to the SD manifolds) on your 2nd gen T/A.

Your overall exhaust plan sounds pretty good. Nearly identical to the system a friend of mine had on his SD.

Good luck.
