Default Show quality alternator restoration

I'm looking for a show quality (but maybe don't break the bank) alternator restoration.

I've got one quote for $325, plus shipping. My '69 RAIII vert is a nut/bolt frame-off, so I'm not hesitant, if that's the going price. Just trying to get some other feedback and suggestions.

Alternator is a cleaner #1100704 core, btw.

Thanks

Contact PY member stellar about this.

Don't recall what the factory finish on the pulley and cooling fan is. Whatever it is should be easy to duplicate or replace with new.

Price of a rebuild is nothing but that and should be fairly reasonable.

Proper cleaning of the case would be your main concern. Definitealy don't want it blasted with anything. Would need somekind of chemical hand wash to maintain its original texture. And not the sand blasted look you see on most rebuilds.

IDK..$325 plus S&H just doesn't sound right.

Keep us updated on this. Dang good topic for nut-n-bolt restorations.

Clay

Stellar just recondition my 69 Alternator. Fair price and only 10 days away including shipping. I just received it back and it looks better than new.

I use John Pirkle in Georgia, the best in my book. Sadly, he died awhile back but his son is continuing. Don't text or email, call as he is always busy and will talk with you as he works.
