Default 1971 Aquarius Green Poly

I'd always liked the older pontiacs painted "Mariner" or " Marina" Turquoise.
When I painted my '71, I chose a similar color.
I'd noticed that the color is still on the chart in '71; but now called "Aquarius Green Poly".
I suppose this color was not popular?
The car always looks blue in the photo's but it's alot more green in person.
The Dupli-color "Bright Aqua" touchup paint matches almost perfectly.

Very pretty color, but by the early 70's I think the whole aqua thing was played out; greens, browns and golds were in.

It is a subjective thing but I always prefer period correct colored cars as yours is. Seeing it in gunmetal grey - no.

A former neighbor had a 68 Cougar in the pale metallic blue, really brought out the sculpting style. He repainted in IROC Blue - barf.

It was not an available RPO for the GTO.

It was after all the dawning of the age of Aquarius (actually by 71 it may have been the sunset of that age ;-) !
