The appropriate length bolts with heavy duty flat washers will make a good place holder til the t bolts show up, if it's holding you up from running lines, and wiring. Just fyi

Slow and steady is the game. Do it right, do it once.
What tank and pump did you go with?

You'll be happy with that setup. I run a Tanks Inc. tank with their GPA-4 module. I've had it in the car since 2015 and about 25000 miles. It's a solid, reliable setup.

I am using 550-516 with the GPA-5 pump. I bought the setup from a member here but i'm not going to use the dist, coil, and the hyper spark. I want to use my ignition setup.

Run the timing control with the system. I ran my traditional ignition setup with my FiTech up until last year for simplicity sake. The difference is night and day.
Yes the initial setup is a little bit more complex, but once the setup is complete the tunability in the system grows… a lot! For me, throttle response increased further, fuel mileage increased, engine runs cooler and I gained a full 1.5” of vacuum. I don’t run a massive cam at a 232/238 112 but the timing control really tamed the combination compared to the HEI. So much so that I’m really after a much more aggressive cam at this point. Good for thought.

^truth. I run a 242/251@.050 hyd roller that will easily idle at 850 rpms. I haven't attempted to go lower cause I don't need to. Being able to manipulate the timing in a non linear manner makes a lot of difference.

To OP,
I had the Sniper system installed on my '70 GTO. It had the Fi-Tech on it. What a change. I think you will love it, I know I do. My '70 has a 400/462 in it with edelbrock heads like your car. Good luck with it. |

What do you like better about the Sniper over the Fi Tech? Fi Tech has a pretty big following too and seems to be reliable. You can PM if you wish. I'm just curious.

Okay, I wasn't part of that thread and I've been away a couple months.
I had never heard of the Fi Tech not retaining it's learn table when the battery is disconnected, that's interesting. |
