Default 1111970 Distributor 4 Sale,,,But

So I sold this distributor on Ebay and the buyer puked all over me and returned it saying it was a restamp and accusing me of fraud, etc, etc. He said I should have filed down the edges of the lines around the serial number if I wanted to make it look more original and used salt water to age it better etc. However, I see the same part number for sale now and it has the straight lines around the serial number. All I know is it came off a '69 Ram Air III GTO that I bought on this site from another member and the sales info said it was "the Correct 1111970 distributor and was rebuilt right before the sale". So, can someone tell me for sure if it's a restamp or not and if so how that effects the value?

PS: And it is still for sale. Asking just $350. for everything in the 2nd picture. Distributor worked fine before removed for upgrade. Virtually no play in the shaft between gear and housing. As good as you'll find per my mechanic. Number stamped on bottom of ears under the weights is 532 CW.

Your buyer was obviously clueless.

Well, if the buyer is such an expert in "aging" parts (filing, using salt water), one can make the assumption that he has, himself, tried to "age" parts to lend credibility to "suspect" parts to make parts more valuable... Hmmmmm
