Been looking at a 1980 turbo car with a motor that needs freshening. I know the 301 had a shorter deck but will heads and intakes interchange(to put early heads on the 301 or the turbo intake on a 400?)Probably will just throw a D port 400 or 455 in it for a driver. I remember seeing years ago Herb Adams selling some RAIV heads milled to fit a 301, but I didn't know what would have to be done to the intake. Man do they have some strange ,small intake ports!

Anyone out there played with these any?

Thanks for the input. This car has some of the emissions and computer off of it. Here in Texas visual isn't as big as the sniffer. It may be easier for me to thow in a 400. The turbo stuff is all taken off but there but I wouldn't have a clue how it all went back.

Any ideas on hood clearancce on these flat hoods for intakes on a 400(like a Formula)? RPM fit with a dropped air cleaner.
