I would use the new Crower Sportsman rod ($630), I just got a set and they are nice, I like them better than my Eagles. I would use the KB hypereutectic, I've used these in a 455, very nice and no problems. I know they've got a lot of bad press, but I followed the installation instructions and they work flawlessly (lighter than the TRWs). TRW replacement forged would work well ($223), or if you want to spend then go with a set of Ross, around $575-625 w/pins. My opinion is you don't need to go with the Ross unless it's strictly a race engine.
