Default Selling my cars. What are the best methods these days?

Hey all. I plan on selling one of my cars, but likely both. The hobby has been fun, but it just doesn't seem to be a fit with me anymore.

With that in mind, what are the best platforms to sell on? Craigslist and ebay seem sooo 15 years ago. Facebook marketplace? Massive carpet bombing cross posts? It would be nice to comp with what's out there too. I know that I could list on PY, but it seems like the reach is limited, and I want to keep things as local as possible.

A second thought: If I sell my Lemans AND my Firebird, would a package deal sell better, or would it be best to part with them individually? Thoughts welcome.

People can't buy them if they can't find them. Advertisement is your friend. I'd sell separate. Anyone that has money and wants both will see them in Ads. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

BaT - Bring a Trailer seems to be one of the top marketplaces these days.

Wait a couple months and list during auction season. I think my '79 TATA ended up going from a CL ad.

Sell them separately as the man said if someone wants both he/she will wee them and buy both. Go to Hagerty's wedsite they have a valuation device that will tell you what they are worth. Also as the man said they won't sell if they can't be seen so put them on everything craigslist, bring a trailer, Hemmings, Facebook, here, Smoke Signals. JMO

I would offer them separately and together and nothing says you can’t use more than one platform to advertise them. Craigslist is ok we search it nationally for cars all the time. Good luck with your sale.

Hagerty has an online "Market Place" now offering both Classified and Auction formats.

https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace/faq/sell

I know you want to stay local, but you'll probably get more money Nationally. When it comes to shipping leave that totally up to the buyer to deal with the arraignments.

Hemmings has classic car ads also... https://www.hemmings.com/
There's no way around it, selling anything can be a hassle.

My old 74 TA did better than expected on ebay and went to Kuwait.

I also sold my dad's 4 old hot rods on ebay to clear out his massive estate debt on there with some mixed results. They have a massive reach.

If they are really nice, I would go to BAT in a heartbeat - they are getting crazy $ on there...that's where the niche buyers are

Marketplace can be a major hassle on FB. But , you can go to a related FB or Lemans GTO page and make a post with pics. That seems to work, and targeted to your market.

Forget trying to sell as a package deal. That's a non-starter...

You could also sell them on consignment with a classic car dealer. My neighbor did that with one of his cars.

Don't forget there's a for sale section right here on the forum.

Thanks all. I definitely will sell my Lemans. If I keep anything it will be he 67 Firebird. If I keep the bird, a piece of me wants to swap the 400 with the 350 in the Firebird for obvious reasons.

Lemans has to go for sure. It was an ill conceived plan when I bought it, but I just didn't know it at the time.

I will take a look at Hemmings to see what comps are. Great info, as always. I've had some fun here over the years.

I am n the same boat, sort of. I have two old Pontiac project cars that I just don't see me finishing. I have a 39 Series 28 four door sedan that does run but has no brakes other than the emergency brake. It comes with a 2001 S-10 for a frame swap and a rebuilt SBC if the price is right. Then, I will decide whether to sell my 50 Pontiac two door Streamliner. It is street legal but needs a lot of work on the interior.
