Me not getting paid for the best reaction time last year was a mix up, no ones fault, and was resolved by simply talking in person to the parties involve. When you talk in person to someone, you select your words and convey your thoughts much better. I should have never mentioned it to anyone other than the parties involved

Thank you to everyone involved with making Norwalk happen.

At one time they were getting 7 to 8 open body cars ever year, just not lately. Who did Norwalk not pay, ALL the cars that filled in for the unused open body spots Or just the 2 that get in under breakage?

Glenn,
Very good and WELL thought out post!

Wreckmastr,
I'm not the spokesperson for anyone except for ME! I just don't want to lose a race I've been qualifying for and racing in for a very long time or a sponcership from a selected few who don't even race in the Q16, that's all. I happen to like the whole Norwalk/Pontiac experience and I'm THANKFUL for everything!

How can anyone say it isn't about KRE?

It was specifically mentioned that Jeff Kauffman (owner of KRE) should pay up or else?

Until I mentioned that Butler's race is also phucked up, then all of a sudden it's whoa, let's see what else we can get on them?

As for drunk injun's question, you mentioned the fight, I would like to see 'THAT' (meaning in general) fight.
Anyone you fight will probably be the winner.

Another thing on Danny's deal.
Was it explicit in who you were replacing?

Most times they stick the people in not replacing a certain person.
(usually more than one person drops out)

The person you actually replaced may have gotten their money?

Don't know too many facts not in evidence here.
Too much jumping to conclusions.

As for the split open/body situation, it was done to give the body cars a fair shot.
Yes it should be the quickest in the Q16.
But it was looking like there would be eventually 16 dragster there, then everyone would bitch about that.

There were a few years we had at least 7 dragsters there.
And more being built/already built.
Just never appeared at the same time.

i never said i thought kauffman should pay me i never said anybody should pay me. my only point was to make sure people were aware of how its done so they dont think the same thing i did which alot of people did. no sikgoat did not get paid and thats who i replaced. i still have the sheet and if i can figure out how to scan it i dont have a problem showing it. i guess next year we will just bring the dragster and make sure mine gets its own way in instead of being an alternate. all of this still doesnt change the fact that the sheet says all 16 cars will be paid. thats all i care about. john maybe kre should be worried about why the money they put up didnt get used? like ive said repeatedly im not out to hang anybody just informing people. thanks danny

glenn the only reasoned i even mentioned your name was to make sure people understood that i didnt just go straight to kauffman and start blaming anybody. i asked you because of the fact i figured you would give me a straight up answer on who i should talk to and since you have sponsored races before i valued your advice. thanks and sorry danny

Here's the email of the guy with all the answers:

sdpromo@pontiacnationals.com

He could tell you also how the classes are worked.
(whether he does or not I don't know)

It's like the big races, a race is sponsored by lets say, Lucas Oil.
Lucas Oil pays the promoter (SD Promo in this instance) a set amount of money.

If something happens at the races, you don't go to Lucas Oil and ask them for compensation.
You go to the promoter.
(and good luck on that at any event)

OK, to recap, KRE, Butler and others don't have a thing to do with the problem.
So no need to bring up their names, past history, things they should do, etc.

Only one way to get any recourse is an email to SD Promo.
He should also be able to tell you if all 16 got paid or not.
When you go to track services to get paid, they have a list of the competitors in the race, the outcome of the race, and what their payout will be.

Danny, Please stop!!!! Your being to straight forward and logical on your responses! Your not leaving enough interpretation for someone else to run off and claim the sky is falling on whomever!! Didn't you learn anything from creative writing courses back in grade school??

In a qualified field the first round money goes to the actual qualified car, not the alternate; he earned his spot on the ladder and receives the 1st rd money if he can't answer the call. The alternate is not eligible for 1st rd money, but is entitled to any money after the first round because he earned it winning rounds.

there were door cars that were faster than a few of the dragsters that didn't make the show. how is that a fair shot?
