Like to replace the headlamps on my 65 GTO with something brighter. Any suggestions? Thank you.

$180.00 each at Summit. Ouch. Need four for stacked headlights, but will try 2 at first.

I was very interested in the Holley product but read a scathingly bad report on them from the candlepower forum.
Will be very interested in what you think about them. The people on that forum are super headlight snobs.

Here is a good review from Motor Trend: https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/ho...t-test-review/

I am on the fence as I don’t drive much at night.

I also read that motortrend report which sounded very positive.

Of course the forum head honcho poopoo the "hot rod magazines" as having no idea what they were talking about.

They are on backorder. I ordered from Holley as they have a shorter time line. Price was the same as Summit.

I buy mine from Lectric Limited. I like them but I don’t drive a lot at night.

They don’t sell the Holley LED headlamps.

T3, repro lights, my mistake. If I were looking for LED I would be buying from Dapper Lighting, just saying

I don't know if he's started to offer LED headlights (the website hasn't been updated in a long time), but Daniel Stern Lighting has always been a good source for halogen lights, as well as a good source for information. https://www.danielsternlighting.com

If you don't drive much at night, run the reproduction T-3 bulbs and drive on high beam (all 4 bulbs) and you will be more than fine and your car will look right too.

Lectric Limited claims the reproduction T3s are brighter than originals. I have no firsthand experience with them.

https://www.lectriclimited.com/catal.../category/732/

From the tech notes tab:
"In order to manufacture our T-3 bulbs, we had to meet the current federal lighting standards. Consequently, our T-3 bulbs are brighter than the original bulbs. They do not project the typical dim, yellow cast as the original bulbs did which lead to difficult night time driving. (For those who are concerned about having your car judged, the level of bulb "brightness" is not a judging criteria.) If you were to replace only one bulb, you would instantly notice the brightness difference when placed side-by-side to your original bulb."

I have them and they are ok in my opinion but remember they only sell them in sets so if one bulb goes out you will need to buy another set of 4. Likely to have plenty of high beam spares if you drive alot at night and blow a low beam.
