Default 73 receiver dryer bracket question..

.Looks to me like the band was zinc or cad plated and mounting bracket was black....

Can anybody confirm?

Band was Zinc, and bracket black, you are correct. Ames sells a Zinc coating that's pretty good.
I believe the bracket was part of the core sub assembly ( ones wi9th AC had this and stand offs as well. )

Not getting too carried away with this...but if I'm painting it....might as well be close.....

I've got most of the Eastwood silver.metal rattle cans....so should have something close..
