Lightbulb Radio bezel needed

I need the larger bezel that fits around the AM/FM 8 track in my 1978 trans am. Here is a pic of the radio 8 track I need it for.

I have two or three of them, but iirc the "chrome is faded to grey, or simply gone...

It's more a flat silver. Not shiny chrome.

I assumed they were like the 1970-1977 radio surrounds with chrome... thanks for the correction!

Here ya go. Yeah they look like chrome but are not. Actually a silver sharpie marker looks exactly like factory. If you get a piece that needs a touch up. This one Teri (Ladytata) here on this board. had at a very GOOD price! I needed the bigger bezel as I also bought a factory 8 track, AM/FM radio for my car. So you must know which size you need.

wait...
I had understood up to this point that he post-1977 radios all had the same sized "snout";
I have in years bygone compared AM/FM with AM/FM-Cassette and they were exactly the same;
Are you suggesting that the 8-track player decks used a different bezel?
(if so) What's the outside width and height?
I have never given more than a passing glance at these...
I bought every one I came across...

The earlier years were narrow, for a 77 the opening for the radio should be 2 1/2” same as my 78. In any case the surround trim is not shiny chrome, like some push buttons are on the radio, It’s a silver color, like the one I posted.

All the bezels 78-81 are the same no matter what radio u got. All had the same opening.
For the record when new it was a electroplated chrome around the edge. Turns to a flat silver over time. I have a few nos ones that are not for sale.
Can take a pic if you want to see but the silver marker is the next beat thing. Cant hardly aee the diff when installed.

For the record, I bought an NOS one for a 79 TA I had, and it WAS NOT electroplated it was silver. So who knows, maybe some were plated and some not.

Yes they are, but NOS could be more if you can find one.

here i was wondering if anyone might think I was absolutely terrible for asking $20 for one!

Sheesh, I seem to be down right reasonable in comparison.

Someone's making good money on those!

I would think the 70-77 radio faceplates probably cost significant'y more to make considering it's more complicated, and has molder/chromed writing on them...
