I should also add I read a lot of people suggesting these sensors mounted on the engine are the problem for fluctuating as they vibrate, but I found that to not be the case at all.
Since we have the same sensors screwed right to the engine blocks to monitor oil pressure and they are rock steady, I was skeptical about the vibration theory. Just to test and be certain, I did isolate the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel rail so it wasn't shaking with the engine while idling, it made no change in the readings at all. |

I also recommend using a psi transducer, but my understanding is the programmable I/O is only available on the Super Sniper/XFlow, Sniper Stealth, and Terminator TBi. (Terminator x, dominator, and HP have programmable I/O as well).
If you have a standard Sniper, you can run an electric (transducer) type fuel psi gauge, and yes, I understand they are not 'cheap'. It is always best to run the regulator after the throttle body. You can run the external regulator in a T fashion, but it's not optimal. (You may experience some hammering). I've got an original Terminator TBi in a T fashion and have no problems, and don't see any fluctuations in fuel psi. (via Holley transducer) I personally would never run the built in regulator on the Snipers, and if you're not going to use it, you need to bypass it (remove diaphragm). Should never run 2 regulators in series. The filter screen on the internal regulator are known to clog. I've heard conflicting accounts of where & why for mounting the transducer. Since there are knowledgeable people who state they have had/seen issues with the transducer failing when mounted on the engine, me personally, will always mount it anywhere but on the engine, and away from heat as best as possible. I seriously doubt that there would be fluctuations in fuel psi readings from the transducer vibrating. My understanding is there's a concern of the transducer failing from vibrations and/or high heat. .

Hi Folks,
Just a quick update. I have a new website and host for it as well, so any links to PDFs I previously posted will no longer work. I'm slowly shifting all of my articles over to the new site. They will now be located on the "Projects" page at www.LJKLusza.net. Please PM me if you have any difficulties and I'll get it fixed ASAP. Thanks.
