Matt tell us more about the red IV bird? I don’t know much about it.
What ever happened to the bird this thread was started about?

Well one just sold and appeared at mcacn idk if anyone wants to share details?

I’m also looking for info on a car I looked at in the 80s 69 TA w a sun roof . Owner at that time (Canadian ) living in CT told me it was a IV. I was 14 or 15 so wouldn’t have known a IV from a III from a V at the time. ( Trust me I lost a V because of I that) anyway trying to track down info on this 69 TA just for nostalgias sake. Wondered where it went for many years. I’ve been told it’s a III and known but not sure if that correct. This particular predominantly Canadian neighborhood in CT had a lot of yenkos and super high ended super cars . Was a hot bed for gear heads.

That must be the Bird that Transamric sold to Telly - many years ago.

And now another owner has possession and displayed it at MCACN ?
Or is that assuming too much ?

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.
Was the PHS on display also ?

Not assuming too much.
At least now it's a bit closer to "home"!

Yes, that is the one. Yes, the new owner (me) displayed it at MCACN. I didn't display the PHS but I did display the original window sticker.

Good to see the original WS has stayed with the car all these years. Never knew whether Telly got it from John or not.

In looking at the window sticker I see Hood Ram Air Inlet 611 $84.26 I always assumed this was part of the RAIV package. However, it looks like it was a mandatory option. Never knew that. Thanks for posting the window sticker and many thanks for the photos of such a great car!

I didn’t want to let the Cat out of the bag, just a light nudge w that post in case someone wanted to share.

Great car.

You’ll really enjoy it I’m sure .
Can’t get much (if any) better than a RAIV bird in my opinion
But I’m kinda partial to them for obvious reasons.

It was part of the RAIV engine package. Years ago came to the conclusion the dealership double dipped

Thanks for the clarification. I first saw "your" Matador Red RAIV car at the TA Nats years ago. It was the first time I had ever seen a '69 RAIV Firebird 400 car in person. It really made an impression on me.
