Default Y82 resto

Finally making progress by beginning assembly. Have been working on this one on and off for too long. One of the lowest optioned y82’s I’ve come across. Someone just wanted to look good and feel cool with this ride!

Finally installed the engine and trans in the 78y82. Glad I ran it on the test stand. Had a leaky water pump and a defective lock nut in the valve train.

Looks good! I love how you color-matched the taller Edelbrock valve covers to the rest of the engine so that it looks factory. You know, they make tall valve covers without any logos on them if you really want it to look conservative.

I can’t get the w72 valve covers on quick enough, your the second person to mention them! I ran the Edelbrocks so I don’t damage the originals. Looking forward to bolting the carb back on as well. Must finally get to the AC box and heater suitcase. Taking advantage of not having the fenders on to get all the firewall stuff buttoned up. Then it’ll be back to bodywork.
